Sarita has 20 years of experience as a Senior HR practitioner. She is acknowledged for her passion and commitment to strategy, client engagement, and building and retaining high performers within a diverse and inclusive environment. She is recognized as a trusted advisor and coach to senior leaders. She is married to James Lambert and the proud mother of two beautiful daughters, Ebony and Imani.
For 27 years, Sarita enabled her brother, who had a drug addiction. She spent many years visiting him, in and out of the prison system and enabling him in a multitude of ways. Unfortunately, at 43, he died of a drug overdose. Sarita now spends her time educating and speaking to leaders, returning citizens and their families to encourage and support them as they utilize their past experiences to share their stories and create a different future. The Quandary: Feeling Responsible for What's Not Mine will provide insight to help identify the warning signs of codependent relationships, walk you through a cycle-breaking action plan, and help you live your purpose guilt free!
Schedule Sarita Lynn as your personal coach, consultant for your next leadership or community meeting, or speaker for your upcoming conference, or book signing. It's time to live your best life, but it starts with you.
The Quandary book is dedicated to my late brother, George Turner, who died prematurely at the age of forty-three of a drug overdose. I miss him so much. Not a day goes by that I do not wish I could hug him and let him know how much I miss him. George and I were only thirteen months apart in age. We were inseparable growing up. I was one of those typical sisters who thought I was his mother and sister. I would tell him what, when, and how to do things, then state why my decision was best. When George was born, my mother told me, “That’s your baby, Sarita,” just so I would not get jealous. It was then my days of being an enabler began.
I spent 27 years enabling his addiction thinking I was helping him. It is through my lived experience I wrote this self-help book to support others who finds themselves enabling someone by not holding them accountable for their own actions.
To anyone who has struggled creating boundaries and holding others accountable for their actions, this book is for you. Each chapter takes you through a journey to prioritize yourself, create healthy boundaries and fulfill your life’s purpose.
Rest in Peace, George, until I see you again.
